Founded in 2010, Shepherd Court Publishing began with a simple mission: to empower authors by providing professional publishing services without the gatekeeping of traditional publishing houses.
Our founder, Victor Ashio, a former editor at one of the "Big Five" publishing houses, recognized that many talented authors were being overlooked by the traditional publishing model. She envisioned a company that would combine the quality standards of traditional publishing with the creative freedom and higher royalties of self-publishing.
Today, Shepherd Court has grown into a respected independent publisher with over 500 titles across multiple genres. We've helped both first-time authors and established writers bring their stories to readers worldwide, maintaining our commitment to quality, integrity, and author-centric publishing every step of the way.
To empower authors through professional publishing services that maintain the highest standards of quality while respecting creative vision and maximizing author control and profit.
We believe that great books deserve to be published, regardless of market trends or commercial considerations. Our goal is to help authors share their unique voices with the world.
To transform publishing by creating a model that combines the best aspects of traditional and self-publishing, leading to a more diverse, inclusive, and vibrant literary landscape.
We envision a future where authors have multiple viable paths to publication, and readers have access to a wider range of voices and perspectives.
